Late Nights with Arem & Shen
On normal weekdays after office hours and the usual OT-Y, I would either go home straight from office or spend some time at the mall as a side trip. I still commute daily from Cavite to Mandaluyong, vice versa and when people find this out they think that it is a mild form of self-destruction. In defense, I would say that I’ve been used to this setup, that I prefer the comfort the my own bed gives me when I am sleeping and the convenience a mother provides to her kids even if they are on their 20’s. I don’t mind malling alone either. In fact, in the absence of good friends and beer, I depend on shopping when I am depressed and I’ve had dinners in fast food and restaurants solo several times already.
However in the past few nights, I’ve been going home extra late (between 11 pm to 12 midnight), skipping the mall side trips and trading up home-cooked dinners for something else better. I’ve never hanged out so much with the same friends in a single week till I did it with Arem and Shen this week.
Monday night, Arem & Shen at Goto King near their pads in Makati while Jansen is at home in Cavite. Tuesday night, Chef D Angelo for dinner, me joining them this time. Wednesday night Goldilocks for dinner, SB coffee courtesy of Shen.
For Thursday night, with lesser budget, we had Jollibee for dinner and Glorietta park for chitchat
For recession-friendly hang out, Glorietta park is open to public (haha)
For Friday night, we managed to gather after Shen’s date with Carlo and Arem’s emergency at work. Had drinks at Giligan’s Island, sleepover at Shen’s condo

Much earlier, I almost thought the Friday night would not happen, so I decided to get some retail theraphy and bought these sneakers.
